FAITH

I fell in love with sacred imagery when I studied the Northern Renaissance artists years ago .They showed their devotion to God by emulating nature as closely as possible, and painting incredibly realistic details. I loved the deeply emotional connection I felt with those biblical characters. And although I don’t compare myself to these  master artists (or paint with delicate fine sable brushes!) I also find joy in depicting sacred and familial moments that inspire and uplift me. I use models that are friends or family members and try to funnel the love I have for them in each sacred concept.
