I am deeply honored and thrilled to announce that my painting, Sea Sprite, has been selected as the featured artwork of the week by the Center for Latter-Day Saint Arts. This recognition holds special meaning to me as it comes from an organization that sits at the intersection of cultural relevance and divine creativity, and I am proud to contribute to the artistic conversation within the Latter-day Saint community.

The Center for Latter-Day Saint Arts is an incredible institution with a mission to foster and celebrate the work of Latter-day Saint artists worldwide. Their belief that God is the ultimate creator and that art is a universal language resonates deeply with me. As a Latter-day Saint artist, it is a privilege to know that my work is contributing to the broader dialogue about faith, creativity, and the human experience. Through their exhibitions, publications, and programs such as the Artists Residency, Come, Follow Me (Art Companion), and the Ariel Bybee Endowment, the Center continues to expand opportunities for artists and audiences to connect on both an artistic and spiritual level.
This week’s feature of Sea Sprite is part of a larger tradition that the Center upholds – one that draws from a diverse spectrum of Latter-day Saint creators to connect with a global audience. The Center’s vision to be the cultural and artistic hub for Latter-day Saints is one that I wholeheartedly support, and I am grateful for their ongoing efforts to elevate Latter-day Saint art and artists in all its forms.
Sea Sprite, the piece selected, is a representation of the natural world, infused with spiritual meaning. It blends elements of the ocean and the ethereal, capturing the lightness of a spirit and the power of nature, a combination that I believe speaks to the divine creativity that exists in all of us. The piece is not only a reflection of my love for the ocean and its symbolism but also a reminder of the spiritual depth that art can carry when we allow it to connect us to higher truths.
I am incredibly humbled by the recognition and support of the Center for Latter-Day Saint Arts. It is such a joy to be part of a community that values and uplifts creativity in ways that enrich our spiritual lives. I look forward to seeing how Sea Sprite resonates with others, and I am excited to continue creating and contributing to this vibrant community.
Thank you to the Center for Latter-day Saint Arts for this beautiful opportunity, and for all of the work you do to bring the voices of Latter-day Saint artists into the cultural conversation.
